He is a seasoned and traveled surfer, with experience surfing some of the best waves that the world has to offer.  His surf travels include places such as; Hawaii, Australia, Costa Rica, Barbados, California, and Fiji.  While living in Hawaii for three years he charged huge waves at Sunset Beach, Haleiwa, Pipeline, and Waimea Bay. 

Andrew’s water safety experience and training come from his career as a Lifeguard at Spring Lake Beach.  During his employment with The Spring Lake Beach Patrol he competed in many lifeguard competitions.

He continues to be a waterman by surfing almost every day, bodysurfing, swimming, kayaking, rowing, and free diving.
